Upcoming smartphones in December 2024

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, powered by the Exynos 2400e processor. It includes a versatile camera system with a 50MP wide lens, an 8MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens, complemented by a 10MP front-facing camera. The device is equipped with a 4,700 mAh battery supporting 25W charging and has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

The OnePlus 13 is anticipated to debut in China this month, with a global release expected later in October 2024. It may showcase a refreshed design featuring a vertical camera arrangement, an aluminum frame, and a textured glass back in a "Flowy Emerald" finish. This model is likely to be lighter than its predecessor and will have an IP68 rating. The 6.8-inch 8T LTPO OLED display is rumored to offer a 2.5K resolution and peak brightness of 5,000 nits, potentially featuring a micro-quad curved panel.

 

The Vivo X200 series was recently highlighted by Vivo’s Product Manager, showcasing its unique water-patterned cloud-step design and microwave texture that shifts appearance based on lighting and angles, reminiscent of ocean waves or silk. The X200 will be available in White and Blue color options.

 

The Realme GT 7 Pro is set to be among the first devices to utilize Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, which will be unveiled at the 2024 Snapdragon Summit from October 21 to 23 in China. This model will feature a 6.78-inch BOE X2 LTPO display with a micro-curved design on all sides, offering a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. Its rear camera configuration will include a 50MP primary sensor and an ultra-wide lens.

Infinix Zero Flip


The Infinix Zero Flip, which has been launched globally and is anticipated to reach the Indian market by October 2024, boasts a 6.9-inch full-HD+ AMOLED primary display alongside a 3.64-inch AMOLED cover display, both supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. It is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC and offers configurations of up to 16GB of RAM, including virtual RAM, as well as up to 512GB of internal storage. Similar to the Infinix Zero 40 series, the Zero Flip features a GoPro mode, allowing users to connect and control a GoPro directly from the smartphone, enabling real-time monitoring of footage.





 

Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and V Flip 2


Tecno has introduced the Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2 on the international market, although their release in India is still pending. Both models are equipped with AMOLED displays and utilize MediaTek Dimensity chipsets. The Phantom V Fold 2 boasts a 7.85-inch 2K+ foldable screen and a 50MP triple rear camera setup, while the V Flip 2 features a 6.9-inch Full-HD+ LTPO AMOLED display. Operating on Android 14, both smartphones incorporate Tecno AI functionalities. In Indian Rupees, the Phantom V Fold 2 is approximately priced at ₹89,000, and the V Flip 2 at ₹60,000, with expectations of their launch in India later in October 2024.
